Early Process/ New Process: Infrared
Infrared film is sensitive to visible light, ultra-violet radiation, and infrared radiation. When taking an infrared photo takes in the light reflected off of the subject from a light source. Subjects containing higher levels of infrared such as grass, leaves and foliage appear more evident in infrared photos. The result of infrared photos is a new light that creates luminous highlights and enhances texture, contrast, and depth (alternative photography).
